My fear is that we have been going backward since february and that final day implosion was so incredible it is something that is hard to shake off.
The start to this season is exactly how we finished the previous season.
When you have a prolonged run like this, then it can be hard to turn around and although it is only one game this season, it is 8 games without a win and four defeats in a row.
But we've had slow starts before - the season we finished third under Billy Davies didn't see us get going until after about 8-9 games so it isn't the end and I keep looking at the players and thinking there should be enough to turn this around and turn the season into a success. I just would have liked to have seen a bit more evidence of that today
