Hmm. Just not enough creative play. Quality winger? Lolley doesn't play. Forest doesn't play. Ball playing CM? Not really in evidence. The creative line was paint drying for most of the match.
Need a couple of talismanic creative players. Winger. CM. Need that 'spark' from there. That's recruitment's job.
Shellshock after the top 6 exit and the manner of the capitulation. So...an extended break.
But clearly, steps needed to be taken in recruitment to add strength, energy, experience, concentration and quality to the squad. And they have. But we do need a couple of 'team spanking' creative players to put the muck and nettle sides to the sword.
