Nelson Oliveira

[Strawberry Avenger]

If we are to sell Brereton then I'd take Oliveira as a replacement too. He can definitely finish and if he's cut the over-complication out of his game he'd be a good signing on a loan-to-buy. Cheaper than Brereton too, though presumably higher wages.

Yep,wages would be fairly high for Nelson, in excess of 20k which is the going rate for a good striker at this level.

Would be an upgrade on Murphy and provide proper competition for Grabban.

We need to strengthen that position IMO

Nelson would seem to fit in with how Forest are playing.  I can see the logic in terms of competition and the type of player he is.

There's the rub, though.  Are Forest playing to Grabban's or Brereton's strengths.

Lewis made a telling mark about his team mates getting to know how he 'plays' in an interview.  He's also eluded to the fact that Forest play very different to Villa and Sunderland...

It is an area Forest need to strengthen.

Murphy was pretty much on strike

Must be terrible getting paid all that money and be expected to actually train as well.
Just how does he get out of bed in the morning having to face that.
Poor guy.

Maybe we should all rally round and give him some real support. :dodgy:

Oliveira was not in the Norwich squad on saturday.

He is clearly on the move before the end of the month.

I would be happy to have him back, I thought he did well last time around and I don't buy into all this stuff about him being a bad egg etc.

He's a candidate for a loan to buy.  There's loan places to use.  5 games gone and 1 goal from a striker.

Need to increase the competition and quality in that area.  Our 'back up' is 'too old' and 'too young', we need a 'goldilocks' striker in the 'just right' age range in his prime.

Oli, like Tomlin, is a player I think Karanka can get something out of.
