To my next door neighbour who has just ( unsuccessfully ) tried to engage me in conversation ( he’s been desperately trying for the last few days ) re our capitulation on Wednesday I have just 2 words:

Although you profess to be a Liverpool fan the nearest you have been to that city was watching The Liver Birds on TV. You are trying to bring your young son up in the same way despite your lack of affiliation for that part of the world judging by his sudden emergence in the full kit every minute of the day since lockdown began. You thoughtless pot hunters do my head in. Perhaps you might get to see a game some day - no I thought not. You’re just another of these faceless idiots professing to have travelled the world supporting your club when in actual fact the nearest you came was to purchase Sky Sports.
