I agree hard to judge Da Costa on 21 minutes, but not hard to research and see he is prone to injury and his goal-scoring record isn’t great. Having said that, I have always said he will prove to be the okay, but not sure he will make much of an impact this season when we could potentially need him to hit the ground running. And of course looks like he is injured anyway.

IF that is the case buying a 29 year old back up striker for £2m is not great investment, and is gambling with the clubs money. I don’t see a Cape Verde International going to be worth much more than that in a couple of years do you?

And you can’t talk about Bong and not think that is a complete waste of wages for 2.5 years (on the basis of one bad performance or not). We get some good money for Robinson and then use it to take away Brighton's deadwood (again takes a little research to see that he is a player on a serious decline and again susceptible to injury). Where is the value in this signing? Now if it was loan then fair dos, we could look in the summer for a replacement for Robinson, but no he is going to be sucking off the Forest wages teat for a couple more years after that. Can’t talk about FFP and gambling with money when bringing in players like that, even on a free!

Whoever scouted him, needs a red card!

We could’ve looked to get Sam McCallum from Coventry for a million, or another up and coming left back from lower leagues (or abroad if they trust their scouts) wouldn’t be on massive wages and in a few years could end up being worth so much more money. Norwich pounced for him, so he will be in the Championship next season!

It seems we took the short sighted view, and brought in players who will sit on bench or in the stand - quantity over quality and not one of them good enough to break into the starting 11.

Some could argue we didn’t want to disrupt the Dressing room by signing a player for a mega money. But hey that can have a great positive knock on effect with everyone bucking up their ideas and can see club really are serious about promotion...this year.

What happened was we didn’t disrupt the dressing room and supposedly kept everyone happy, yet following the transfer window they produced a couple of poor displays in the losses against Birmingham and at home to Charlton. Of course we had the  great back to the wall win at home against Leeds, and held on for a draw against WBA, we just didn’t have the quality to really trouble their keeper, with just the one (amazing) shot on target. No pressure on Grabban, and you can see that in his lacklustre performances and misses.

It is though the up and down nature of the Championship and we are seeing some massive highs with equally massive lows, but we are in the top 6. IMO we should have done more in January to help cement the top 6 place and push on for top 2. I also agree we could have splashed the cash and break our transfer record like we did with Carvalho, and that player just wouldn’t deliver just cos he cost loads of money, or like when we broke the transfer record previously bringing in Assombalonga, to see him get injured (after an amazing start) and derailed Pearce’s great start that season.

Guess what i have to admit iswe won’t really know how bad that Jan window was till a few months down the line but me being negative (cant help it being a forest fan) I feel it was an opportunity wasted and we will be playing in the championship next year.

To end on a positive note, if that is the case I really think if we can keep Sabri then we will have a real chance next year for Autos, but Modesto and Angio must really deliver, trust them or not i am guessing they will still be pulling the strings and next window is crucial to get right!

Sam McCallum for a million; really!

"No pressure on Grabban, and you can see that in his lacklustre performances and misses"

One of the hardest workers in the team with one of the highest percentage of goals to chances in the entire league and now he is lacklustre; priceless!

Yes has been below par last few games and some glaring misses, some would call sitters. I cant believe you wouldnt agree with that?

He has been pretty much ever present and we so rely on him... the stats are he has had a hand in 17 goals for Forest scoring every 172 minutes (every 1.9 games) which is good, but could/ should it be better?

Here is the top 5, but he has the worst goals to game ratio.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – Fulham - 21 Goals and 1 assist (22)

Scored at 128  minutes per goal (played 2690 minutes)

Ollie Watkins – Brentford - 20 Goals scored and 3 assists (23)
148  mins per goal / 2960 played

Jarrod Bowen – Hull 16 goals and 7 assist (23)
163  mins per goal / 2610 played

Lewis Grabban Forest – 16 Goals scored and 1 assist (17)
172  minutes per goal / 2745  minutes played

Nahki Wells - Bristol City, QPR - 14 Goals scored – 3 assists (17)
At  132 minutes  per goal playing 1843  minutes

Perhaps someone of quality coming in would have got him back firing on all cylinders, as he hasn't scored in the last 5 games - FACT!!!

As for McCallum, £1m down payment and deal could be worth up to £3.5m, bet they get more than that when they sell. WOuldnt have that been a better investment than Bong ??

And in all my reply, you picked up on that and McCallum - priceless.

I mention goals to chance conversion rate and you compare that with goals to minutes played.

Grabban brings more to the party than just goals although being a big fan of a throw back like Assombalonga I doubt very much that you would appreciate that aspect of his game.

Norwich paid much more than the figure you quote for McCallum and he is being paid a lot more than what we could afford; the bid we put in for him was rejected out of hand; Norwich and Coventry will most probably be in the same Division next year but Norwich will have parachute payments.

I could not be bothered with the rest of what you posted; if you you want to make things up and cant be bothered to post accurate information, I dont see much point in replying to it.

If everything the Club does is so bad, and the grass is so much greener at Clubs like Brentford, why do you put yourself through the torture of supporting Forest?

Of course i am going to talk about goals, and how many minutes it takes to score them (which by the way is now over 360 minutes). I actually put the Stats up, where are your stats to prove he has the best  goals to chance conversion rate, i am sure that has taken a downward spiral last few games??

Of course i liked Assombalonga when he was here, especially before he was injured. Grabban has been running more this season, but to say he brings more to the party than just goals? Well ok, he does have 1 assist to his name and he managed to convert one penalty this season.

My point which you keep overlooking is, we didnt bring any quality in during the transfer window, enough to push on Grabban. I mean, do i need to remind you how many goals he has scored since the window shut?

As for Sam - Wheres the proof about the transfer fee (which was undisclosed) and wages. And any way i was meerly making a point, getting a younger player in, either from abroad or lower leagues or scotland would be much more likely to be a better investment than Bong on a 2.5 years (i bet his wages would be more than Sam, but cannot back that up, because like you i dont have the facts to compare)

And as for telling me to support someone else haha.  Thats always the case on a forum, when someone is losing a battle or has a different opinion will say lol. I say what i see, nit asking you to agree, and i am certainly would never suggest another fan on here walking away from Forest.

But do agree it can be torture watching Forest some games, but guessing you either dont go or just support club with Rose tinted Glasses. You cant even say if FOrest had a good transfer window or if we will get promoted this year.

Being negative, i dont think we will, but love to be proved wrong (doesnt happen very often though lol)

"And as for telling me to support someone else haha."

"and i am certainly would never suggest another fan on here walking away from Forest."

Where exactly did I write that?

I did not tell you to do anything or make any suggestions.

That is exactly what I am talking about; twisting words, inflating figures and generally making stuff up, just so you can stick the boot into the Club and anyone who has the temerity to defend them.

Making accusations that I either do not go or just support the club with rose tinted glasses on the basis of no evidence whatsoever is pathetic, bordering on infantile; the profile on my Club account, however, lists me as a priority member as far as away ticket allocation is concerned and that is good enough for me.

I have some knowledge of what McCallum went for and what we actually bid for him; my neighbour is a member of Coventry's management team; I am not sure he will be too keen on committing that information to paper, but I will ask him later.

You keep wittering on about not bringing in any quality but conveniently do not give any of the signings any time to prove what quality they have.

I seem to recall you mentioning that you have or ran a business during a previous conversation; if that is the case do you deliberately run that business at a loss?

I am guessing you dont; I like to run my business as a profit making concern and I bet you do too.

Why then are you demanding that EM runs the Club any differently to how you run yours?

Demanding the Club spend money they have not got and to run as a loss making concern when you adopt a totally different business philosophy yourself is hypocrisy.
