And so who was responsible for Jenkinson, he came in well after Sabri took charge - cant claim that was a Martin O'Neill signing surely?

Which ever way any one wants to slice it, the January window was poor and IMO a missed opportunity to strengthen the side.

Lets hope we can keep the first 11 fit.

Of course they are open to criticism, everyone at the Club is; the key is putting that criticism into perspective.

Not being able to strengthen because players will not sign for us is not a failure

Not being able to strengthen because we cannot afford players is not a failure

Gambling with the Clubs future by spending money we do not have is a huge failure waiting to happen.

You talk about Gambling with the Clubs future by spending money we do not have is a huge failure waiting to happen, so are you saying we didn’t have money to strengthen the first team then, even from a position of strength?

I agree hard to judge Da Costa on 21 minutes, but not hard to research and see he is prone to injury and his goal-scoring record isn’t great. Having said that, I have always said he will prove to be the okay, but not sure he will make much of an impact this season when we could potentially need him to hit the ground running. And of course looks like he is injured anyway.

IF that is the case buying a 29 year old back up striker for £2m is not great investment, and is gambling with the clubs money. I don’t see a Cape Verde International going to be worth much more than that in a couple of years do you?

And you can’t talk about Bong and not think that is a complete waste of wages for 2.5 years (on the basis of one bad performance or not). We get some good money for Robinson and then use it to take away Brighton's deadwood (again takes a little research to see that he is a player on a serious decline and again susceptible to injury). Where is the value in this signing? Now if it was loan then fair dos, we could look in the summer for a replacement for Robinson, but no he is going to be sucking off the Forest wages teat for a couple more years after that. Can’t talk about FFP and gambling with money when bringing in players like that, even on a free!

Whoever scouted him, needs a red card!

We could’ve looked to get Sam McCallum from Coventry for a million, or another up and coming left back from lower leagues (or abroad if they trust their scouts) wouldn’t be on massive wages and in a few years could end up being worth so much more money. Norwich pounced for him, so he will be in the Championship next season!

It seems we took the short sighted view, and brought in players who will sit on bench or in the stand - quantity over quality and not one of them good enough to break into the starting 11.

Some could argue we didn’t want to disrupt the Dressing room by signing a player for a mega money. But hey that can have a great positive knock on effect with everyone bucking up their ideas and can see club really are serious about promotion...this year.

What happened was we didn’t disrupt the dressing room and supposedly kept everyone happy, yet following the transfer window they produced a couple of poor displays in the losses against Birmingham and at home to Charlton. Of course we had the  great back to the wall win at home against Leeds, and held on for a draw against WBA, we just didn’t have the quality to really trouble their keeper, with just the one (amazing) shot on target. No pressure on Grabban, and you can see that in his lacklustre performances and misses.

It is though the up and down nature of the Championship and we are seeing some massive highs with equally massive lows, but we are in the top 6. IMO we should have done more in January to help cement the top 6 place and push on for top 2. I also agree we could have splashed the cash and break our transfer record like we did with Carvalho, and that player just wouldn’t deliver just cos he cost loads of money, or like when we broke the transfer record previously bringing in Assombalonga, to see him get injured (after an amazing start) and derailed Pearce’s great start that season.

Guess what i have to admit iswe won’t really know how bad that Jan window was till a few months down the line but me being negative (cant help it being a forest fan) I feel it was an opportunity wasted and we will be playing in the championship next year.

To end on a positive note, if that is the case I really think if we can keep Sabri then we will have a real chance next year for Autos, but Modesto and Angio must really deliver, trust them or not i am guessing they will still be pulling the strings and next window is crucial to get right!

Sam McCallum for a million; really!

"No pressure on Grabban, and you can see that in his lacklustre performances and misses"

One of the hardest workers in the team with one of the highest percentage of goals to chances in the entire league and now he is lacklustre; priceless!

Yes has been below par last few games and some glaring misses, some would call sitters. I cant believe you wouldnt agree with that?

He has been pretty much ever present and we so rely on him... the stats are he has had a hand in 17 goals for Forest scoring every 172 minutes (every 1.9 games) which is good, but could/ should it be better?

Here is the top 5, but he has the worst goals to game ratio.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – Fulham - 21 Goals and 1 assist (22)

Scored at 128  minutes per goal (played 2690 minutes)

Ollie Watkins – Brentford - 20 Goals scored and 3 assists (23)
148  mins per goal / 2960 played

Jarrod Bowen – Hull 16 goals and 7 assist (23)
163  mins per goal / 2610 played

Lewis Grabban Forest – 16 Goals scored and 1 assist (17)
172  minutes per goal / 2745  minutes played

Nahki Wells - Bristol City, QPR - 14 Goals scored – 3 assists (17)
At  132 minutes  per goal playing 1843  minutes

Perhaps someone of quality coming in would have got him back firing on all cylinders, as he hasn't scored in the last 5 games - FACT!!!

As for McCallum, £1m down payment and deal could be worth up to £3.5m, bet they get more than that when they sell. WOuldnt have that been a better investment than Bong ??

And in all my reply, you picked up on that and McCallum - priceless.

I mention goals to chance conversion rate and you compare that with goals to minutes played.

Grabban brings more to the party than just goals although being a big fan of a throw back like Assombalonga I doubt very much that you would appreciate that aspect of his game.

Norwich paid much more than the figure you quote for McCallum and he is being paid a lot more than what we could afford; the bid we put in for him was rejected out of hand; Norwich and Coventry will most probably be in the same Division next year but Norwich will have parachute payments.

I could not be bothered with the rest of what you posted; if you you want to make things up and cant be bothered to post accurate information, I dont see much point in replying to it.

If everything the Club does is so bad, and the grass is so much greener at Clubs like Brentford, why do you put yourself through the torture of supporting Forest?
