Boro, Wigan, Cardiff etc. another opportunity lost. It's incredibly frustrating because I genuinely feel there's little more that Lamouchi can get fro this group of players.
The poor defending lost us the points, but it's another game where quality options in attack & on the bench would have seen all 3 go our way IMO
Carvalho had his best game in some time, but the second we had him, Silva & Adomah on the same pitch that was the second we surrendered the points. And that's not Lamouchi's fault either. We can't risk Sow breaking with all these quick games in succession.
The entire season always comes back to the lack of quality signings made in attack for the past year. Last Jan? Poor, we were 7th & should have added, but OK forgive move on. This Summer? very poor, plenty of time to land at least 1 of several good & modestly priced options out there. If we fail to land those players this Jan it will be shocking tbh.
The club needs to start acting more like a Prem club if it wants to be one. The fact that we didn't bring anyone in early doors shows we're slacker than we should be.
They've had a few swings of the bat to fill the obvious positions of Striker, ACM and Winger.
Should have brought Yates on for Sow. Taking Silva off. Wasn't having this best game. And maybe put Car' ahead of them. I didn't feel the swap was like for like. And that led to Forest's undoing eventually. Seem to lose that bit of dominance with Sow going off. But yes, flog him and we risk 'breaking' him again.
Hope springs eternal.
SA.
