I'm coming round to the idea of Yates NOT going out on loan.

He looks a class act and he looks like he's ready to play some part this season.

Me too.  He seems like a class act.  He's been described as 'quite a unit.'  Seems all action.  Is he the Chris Cohen heir apparent..?

I think it was Taylor of the NEPost saying that he offered something different for Forest's midfield.  Plays simple.  Gets the ball and looks to pass it forward.  That's the kind of player who can get the team ticking.

Has he seemed overawed in any of the pre-season games playing in the 'two' in front of the defence?

I think it's in the NEP today that Karanka wants him to have games to speed his development at this level, but if DCM (i.e. Colback) doesn't come off in the transfer market then he might have to reassess Yates doing out on loan.

Surely worth being on the bench to come on as opposed to playing for another Championship team?  He seems good enough now to do that with Forest.
