Despite the general consensus than MON knew nothing about football, I think the fact that Milo & Yacob were frozen out by both him & Mouch suggests there's more to it than playing ability.
Yacob's situation has always been a complete mystery to me. AK signed him as a free agent after deadline day and then didn't play him for ages. When he did eventually pick him he did really well I thought. Then MoN picked him and then dropped him and we haven't seen him since. I believe he's not been relegated to the bomb squad so what's going on? Has he even made the bench under Sabri?
I wonder if he's on a massive pay as you play money or he's close to triggering a massive new contract clause or something. IMO he's just the kind of player we needed on the pitch last night. Nasty bastard, can put his foot in, is cool and composed on the ball and can pick out a pass.
