I can only think he changed formation to accommodate Mir up top. Didn't work. Might have done if a couple of the half chances we had were put away and we'd gone in at half time 1 up. I'd agree with Sabri, we weren't brilliant, but it wasn't a stinking performance from the players.
I think Sabri thought our quality would be enough to beat a poor-ish Wigan team. If you're going to give Mir game time, then this was probably the game to do it.
As you say, hope he learns from it. I put the responsibility for the defeat down to him but wont be critical of him, he's been excellent to date.
Surely Wednesday night at home made way more sense to play Mir? Theoretically easier game and would’ve meant Grabban had a rest between the two games. Just hope it wasn’t because of any injury to Grabban otherwise we’re a bit screwed
