Well we've clearly not offered him what he wants, or he's got wind that someone might be prepared to offer more, because he's still not signed.

My theory - Birmingham is an excuse - it's Leeds that he is attracted to and he's waiting a few days longer on them. They are probably negotiating on Vydra but might want both depending on if they can afford it. So, we're basically waiting for the sheep to sort their ***** out.

The 'stalling' could be an agent waiting to see how this plays out.

The N.E.P says it's due to be completed...by the end of this week.

There was a report on Twitter that Bad Ass might be coming back. Maybe we’re applying similar tactics as the player’s agents, along the lines of “We’ve got plenty of alternatives, the offer on the table won’t be there forever”. Something else the Birmingham Mail are making a big play of the fact that they’ve had a bid accepted by Bournemouth. Well if we don’t have a bid accepted by them, what have we been doing for the last week talking to the player ? The obvious conclusion is that they have accepted a bid from us as well, and given us permission to talk to the player, otherwise isn’t that “tapping up ?”

Finally if Bournemouth accepted a bid of £5 million, can they “unaccept” that bid? If not why would Birmingham up their offer to £6 million ?
