I think thats the game where AK decided he couldnt even rely on that set of players to keep the club from being relegated, never mind get promoted.
When you compare AK to warbs now they're in completely different leagues. AK's a winner and has a winning mentality. Warbs is a builder who's sole ambition was to slowly grow the club in the hope it would come good eventually.
Agreed. The trust was broken after the Preston game. The team looked shot of confidence. The pretenders were thrown under the bus and drastic action was taken to get the influx of players in to maintain Championship status. Without that action, I believe Forest would have been relegated.
Give Karanka the tools and he'll get you promoted or pretty darn close.
