A year long loan is the least risky and probably the most likely. He has talent, that's plain to see.
But the problem is not the contract, it's the hole left in the squad if he does break down again. If we play 3 at the back a lot next season we're going to need 2 players who can play at right wing back so they can rotate for games. If Byram breaks down it's a big ask of the other guy to play Saturday & Tuesday bombing up and down the pitch.
Totally agree, it’s the missing player loan or not, no matter h ow good they are they could make or break our season
