The 2019 Summer Clearout

In an ideal world that would be great.

Unfortunately the reality is something else.

Whoever starts as manager this season, I hope that the fans really, REALLY get behind them.

This all day long. We seem to put pressure on our manager at the first sign of a blip. The fact is, if our December blip had gained us a few more points or the MON blip had stopped a game or 2 earlier, we would with an average squad, lots of key injuries and yet more upheaval been top 6. 

I think 20 Years of general crapness has changed our mentality. We had bad days at the office under the great man, or struggled without key players, but we kind of knew we would come out the other side. (Even when sitting bottom of the league I thought Cloughie would find some magic). Now, the mentality seems to be a blip is the start of another slide down the league which can only be stopped by replacing the manager. 

I know I sound a bit like the much maligned "happy clapper brigade"-which I am not- I think supporters have to get behind the manager for 46 league games next season as does the board, owner, local press and dare I say it the online community. I hope that it is MON. It's a bit embarrassing that with his CV, people are now saying that the last couple of games show he might have a clue about football management and how to use players properly etc...

Edit: wasn't meant to develop into such a rant, not really my style, but I think I got across the point I was trying to make. It was Alfs second REALLY that got me motivated.
