Yep. Looking back, it's almost like Doughty and Arthur were gaslighting us by telling us how lucky we were to have those two. Looking at it from today's vantage point, we were in a period of managed decline back then, where mediocrity was the norm. The owner was consistently telling us how unsustainable the club was while the likes of Wigan, Bolton and Hull were in the premier league and clubs like Brentford, Brighton and Palace were overtaking us to get there.
