Well and truly. He left a decent job at Boro to go there and this is how they thank him. He improved them significantly.
As outsiders we can see how poor they were before he arrived and just what a lost cause Wolves were last season. But then again the football commentariat were astounded when we sacked Dyche so maybe you have to look a little closer, or have a deeper understanding before passing judgement?
I think sometimes you have to do what you think will improve performances. Like you say, from the outside it probably looked like Dyche wasn't doing badly with us but it was apparent in how we were playing that we'd have been in trouble if we'd have stuck with him.
Was reading something the other day about Arsenal bringing in Raya after Ramsdale had had a decent season with them. 'Decent' wasn't enough and they knew they could do better and ultimately it paid off.
