As for Edu, hopefully this is just a retrospective discussion for the summer. Results and performance have certainly improved with Vitor, im not surprised there is much hard work and analysis behind the friendly smiles. But is it coincidence that Edu was removed from the scene around the same time? Theres not much case for bringing him back IMO.
Its hardly inspirational genius to target younger players with resale value. But that can bring its own problems, we have ground out this season 90% with the team from last season. The ultimate example of it going wrong is the team we have just thumped 0-3. Discuss specifics later but end on a positive, Dilane Bakwa after the Braga game I was convinced was Diakhaby v2. Bit early to say he is a world beater but Vitor has 100% got some useful contributions from him and it was wonderful to see him turning Cucurella (a player I despise) inside out on Sunday. Hope he can keep it up.
Thought we went to Brentford and won after Wrexham and Dyche was nominated for manager of the month?
We did but werent exactly convincing if I remember, I think its fair to pinpoint the Wrexham game as to when it started unravelling for Dyche.
Sniffer thinks I defend the bloke, I dont, my opinion at the time was stick with him at the time and he would claw us ungracefully over the line. To be honest had we stuck with him we would have lost to Fenerbahce and probably be currently on around 30 points thanks to a few slugged out 0-0s. I am delighted that Vitor has proved there was another way. Think Dyche gets some credit for turning the ship around post Ange but he certainly self destructed very quickly and did himself no favours.
As Wassy said some players let us down too and I had little sympathy with the dont like running in training, As User pointed out stats were showing we were consistently being outrun by opponents. But Vitor has got the whole squad playing together and huge credit for that.
Heard a rumour of Dyche's Payout the other day - £4.5m apparently!
