I don't get this Dinosaur bullshit that I have seen mentioned on Social Media.
Me neither.
He's a red legend.
But he got the job on the back of his glittering array of achievements. (Beat that, Mr. Walk Out.)
His tactical strategy has been multi-dimensional compared to previous incumbents.
Forest are tougher, more robust from the monsters at the back to the reforged DCM.
With the January business? Forest have two rock 'ard chewy mint CHs that are £6 million a piece. Yates? A Keane/Cohen player Shaping up to £10 million. And who played him? MoN.
Ie. He believes in youth. So he's forward thinking and progressive. See Beno Beast who is a MoN 'project.' He finds gems and develops them. He can spot talent.
Forest are working harder, more cohesive, more direct, more forward, more expansive and progressive. Far more energy and excitement to their play. The players are trying harder and getting in defenders faces. Some of the tackles from our CHs have been bone crunchingly wincing, cleaning out players. But generally in a disciplines way. They aint arguing anymore. They are far more cute and disciplined about their shape. They get back into that quicker and squeeze the life out the opposition. They get it in the box. They put defences and teams under pressure instead of standing off waiting for eg. Preston or Brentford to play it out from the back.
The last time we had a voodoo was Donny. And it was Billy Davies that sorted that lot out. MoN did the same to Brentford. Nailed them.
They've dry-humped WBA, Brentford and Preston with different formations aka a Plan B, Plan C...etc.
Much more 'Get in there, that's what I pay you for.'
More to come...
SA.
