For me it would be utter madness to change the manager again at the end of the season, especially if he keeps us up. He needs to be given a chance to build his team. For all the good Marinakis has done for the club, he has really screwed up this year, especially appointing his mate Clueless Ange. He needs to understand just because we’ve been in the Premier League for 4 years we are not one of the big boys and we need to build slowly and steadily. We cannot go toe to toe with the big clubs, that is suicidal.
The football under Dyche may not be exciting but he and his staff, particularly Stone and Woan, understand the club and have a great affinity to the club
I love Forest and want us to be successful again but we are no longer in the 1980s & 1990s and even if we have the financial clout to compete we aren’t allowed. Also as fans we need to be realistic. I would have loved Iriola or Glasner to have come to Forest but we are not a big club yet so why would they choose us
For me Dyche has to stay
For me this is why it is important where we will finish and why I asked for opinions on that.
Fourth bottom and an early exit from the Europa League for example and Sean will be toast.
Needless to say that I hope that doesn't happen of course.
Mid table and a good Europa League run and Sean will get another crack and rightly so.
I agree.
That’s why I pondered what would happen if he exceeds expectation and wins the europa and we find ourselves in the champions league next season.
Of course the heart says he deserves it and don’t rock the boat; but I do wonder where EM sees his ceiling and if he might be tempted to gamble on a ‘super-coach’ to take us to the next level.
Ironically, I think he’s therefore more at risk if he smashes it and wins us something rather than just treading water in mediocrity.
