So looks as though Palace have turned their appeal into some kind of tripartite action against  not only UEFA but us and Lyon too. It means we're in a three way legal shootout now, rather than being an innocent bystander waiting for a result.

Until the detail of the appeal becomes known all anyone has is speculation, and it may be a while before that happens, and may never as it remains confidential. 

I doubt though that any team of specialist lawyers, which Palace must be using, would allow any case to be presented that had no merit whatsoever. They’re not in the habit of accepting briefs they think they will lose. So we must assume that there is something there that has leaked or for which disclosure is being demanded.

So I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions just yet.
