Firstly they have written to away members following a review of usage of the Brighton allocation, which they believe confirms that over 300 tickets went unused. Apparently from the Chelsea match onwards if you buy a ticket and it doesn’t get scanned on entry that ticket will not be shown on your booking history going forward.
Also, four away members have had their memberships suspended for attempting to sell their Chelsea tickets on X, having found that they could no longer attend.
I think this is great by the Club and will ensure that fans who want to go have a better chance of getting tickets.
Have they really? It has got to be fair, but at the sane time if people are selling at face value and not trying to make a profit this also gives opportunity to fans to buy tickets that wouldn't normally have an opportunity.
It's a tough one to try and manage for the club.
I've liked the ballot system this season, it's fair and it's then far easier to plan away games and purchasing a ticket.
I dont know for certain, but I'm pretty sure that part of the conditions is the ticket must not be resold or transferred without the clubs prior permission??? Most tickets etc for any event usually have that criteria attached to them
I'm not sure mate because I've never done it, so I've not even looked at or read the conditions of my season ticket/away membership. I shall have a look out of curiosity now.
