I am 100% making up what I suspect has happened but reckon if it was up to Tom we would already have diggers moving in to Toton. He thought he could buy some land with a huge government subsidy, get his company to build a stadium with a few extra add ons, training ground, netball centre, hotel etc and make a big profit. The idea sounds good, the location is terrible but he didn’t care and thought he could get it through.
Luckily once again we have an owner who seems to understand what a football club is actually about and that some things are more important however good the financial incentives.
