Agreed, not impossible we use it as a way to shoe horn another winger in eg Foden, Palmer etc.
Even if Kane is not a starter at the next WC though, he's a pretty decent bench option. I definitely wouldn't want him to be retiring.

Yeah I think you are right that with two years to prep for the next WC we should be considering alternative options and formations that don't involve him. Maybe by the next break Watkins will be fitter and we can experiment. Solanke a possible option in the future if he hits the ground running at Spurs (big If of course)
Unless the future manager believes Kane is fit enough to be the starter in 2026 I suppose.
