Great day out but I do hope people don’t get carried away. Southampton will be bottom three so nothing less than a 1-0 win was acceptable.
We sailed close to the wind at the end, and that was because Taiwo wasn’t tracking back, Wood did a lot of yards defensively to help out when they attacked, particularly through BBD.
Wasn’t that impressive with Sangare to be honest, he has to be better with the ball in that position, too many misplaced passes and then at times, not picking out an obvious pass to put us on the front foot.
Was really disappointed with Dominguez too, got beat too easily when one on one.
MGW really needs to keep it simple too at times.
I do think a better midfield opposition would have really punished us.
Appreciate that’s largely negative despite the fact we won but as I say, we really shouldn’t get carried away after that result.
One final word for the kit, I absolutely detest it, we shouldn’t be playing in light blue. It’s almost sinful.
