Not to me, but then I do understand some of the nuances involved, such as wrapping up the £10m freehold issue into a £200m (part) stadium rebuild. I get that talks are ongoing but in isolation it’s still a good deal as it’s cheaper than the lease over time.
“FIFA compliance means the direction of the pitch has to be in a certain direction” did cause me to raise an eyebrow.
Personally I think they want a bigger footprint for the CG which will include current residential areas and presumably compulsory purchase orders made by the council. A bigger game is afoot, I believe.
