Everyone should be allowed to spend the same amount and should be based on highest revenue club. One bit he added that I liked is clubs with smaller revenue only so much is club debt, the rest is owners money.
The devil would be in the detail, but the principal of being able to spend the same amount sounds appealing in a way, isn't that what they do in F1?
That definitely sounds fairer than what they have voted through. Would still stop a Newcastle overspending too.
It's pretty similar to how the salary cap works in the NFL.
IIRC he also suggested club owners should have to place a bond with the prem (or whoever) to honor the commitments of the club if it goes pop. Cant see many club owners voting for a system which requires them to pay out millions and millions of pounds up front before they bring players in.
