So we're effectively 17th at this stage of the season (when you remove Everton points penalty) Pretty much same position as where we finished last year in a league generally considered weaker by most compared to last season.
If based on the above discussion, our defence isn't worse, our attack is as good and we all.agree our midfield is better. Why are we 17th?
Have we been more unlucky (or less lucky)? Is the dodgy keeper situation really all that's stopped us being higher up the league? I feel like last year we had worse luck with injuries generally with a squad with less depth. Have we just been found out a bit? Is it just negative variance?
Again, not being negative but I'd of thought a supposed better team would've been doing better than last year. Just interested to know what others thought?
