My initial instinct is to accept the club's word that they're just in. That's on the basis that this owner has always got us on the right side of the line, despite players coming and going being a constant under his ownership. The big man has always sold a player when needed (eg Assombolonga and Cash) so I doubt they've not done their sums for this season. I'm chilled about the whole thing but with a slight concern that they've employed this De Marco KC guy before even being charged with any wrongdoing.
But anyway, a good dose of FFP restriction is probably what the club needs atm. We have talent in the squad and should let the new coach see what he can get out of it before we start adding willy-nilly again. Maybe just the addition of a young striker and the loan of Navas together with a cull of peripheral players is all we need to see us through to the summer.
