Tell you what, if Steve is honest with himself then he will be eternally grateful for the backing he has received. When he took the job he could never have imagined it in his wildest dreams.

Agreed. Doesn’t mean he won’t also say that some of the players he’s been given were a complete waste of money

Happens at every club so you need to get over it.

But does it seem to happen to ours more than most? Genuine question. 

Look at how well Barkley has worked out at Luton compared to Lingard for us. 
If Freuler, an international class midfielder is too slow for the Prem, why were we even considering him?
If several of our players were injury prone/made of biscuits, why hasn’t this been taken into account when assembling the squad as a whole?
If Origi isn’t the striker he was once/can’t be arsed, again why isn’t this getting picked up. 

Maybe it’s a bit bias as I don’t closely follow other teams, but it does seem as if our recruitment could be a bit more, well professional.
