We should have won at Palace, should have beat Luton and should have beaten a poor Burnley side. We were lucky to beat Sheff U. I still think we need a big step up in terms of making ourselves harder to beat. We're conceding soft goals against teams that are hardly world beaters. It's criminal to throw away a 2-1 lead away from home like we did today. Clearly we switched off after taking the league and thinking the job is done. They equalised within 40 odd seconds. Just not good enough.
It literally makes no sense to criticise the team for playing well and losing but then also criticise for not playing well and winning. It's not criminal, it's a game of football. It's frustrating to concede so quickly but no-one is going to prison!
That said Dominguez mistake at the start probably deserves at least community service
I don’t think we did play well today. We got caught on the break several times and West Ham were very wasteful. Soucek hit the bar when he should have scored. Vlachodimos kept us in it with a couple of good saves. How many clear chances did we create? West Ham aren’t an especially good side. Their main threat is from set pieces and we constantly gave them set piece opprtunities. Very naive
Taiwo had two massive chances that he missed, MGW had one too, Origi almost scored at the end. That enough?
