Both are totally the wrong types of player which we need here. I'd be happy to see Yates, Benny, Anel, and a shed load of other academy produced players ahead of them.

Don't agree to that. Both Goncalves and Dias come with a reputation of being excellent on the ball and direct in how they play with a bit of pace. They even surprised me with their willingness to track back. So in that sense, I believe they are exactly what we need. The problem is that they haven't delivered on that promise.
