I hated everything about AK very early into his tenure (after the Hull cup loss), having said that he had only won 3 out of his 28 or so league games in the PL yet had managed to draw 14, here he won 5 out of 25 last season
Prior to the start of this season he has been badly out of form and many flaws which are glaringly obvious very highlighted, I am surprised he got the gig this season
Even so, I tried to get into enjoying the season and to be honest he has achieved some amazing results and there have been some good times.
The main problem is the ecstacy and potent positives from some games cannot seemingly be bottled up and carried consistently forward
The bottom line is AK doesn't do positivity full stop
Underlying problem for me is the club owners and AK don't do transparency it wreaks of dodgy deals to me and we don't really know who was really behind the significant signings
Besides us all yearning for the big time there isn't really enough of a feeling of a community or football club. Every interview AK has done has been mediocre though probably not permitted to discuss any real issues, maybe there is rule about him showing any form of positivity or joy whatsoever
The absolute bottom line is a good manager has a certain ability to resurrect a phoenix from the flames, any manager or bloke off the street would experience some form of success with £25m and 25 players plus everyone who was still here and the academy
To be able to score 5 at Villa and 3 at Norwich, top of the league side yet lose to QPR and Preston at home after good results and everything seemingly clicking into place, is the enigma that is AK, sadly a guy we will never get to know or understand
Great post!
