Think there was a degree of naivety in the early recruitment that a few promising prospects combined with a core of last year’s youngsters would cut it in the PL. That we needed some PL knowhow became clear early on, if there was a disagreement about that I would guess it cost some people their jobs.
As I have said before, no single system has shown to be any more effective so far.
