Off the back of the Awoniyi praise and to throw another potential hand grenade in the thread... the Bundesliga signings (Taiwo, Niakhate and Mangala) have really shown their worth over the last few games. I said it at the time and it's still true now, Syrianos shouldn't have been removed; it was always gonna take time for Bundesliga lads to adjust to the Prem and injuries didn't help that either, but they're now looking like they'll be serious contributors if we do stay up.

There's so many examples of players coming from outside of the UK and taking time to adapt. It's the norm rather than the exception. You always need to judge players in year 2 in the UK.

That's actually why the signings of Boly, Aurier and Kouyate have been astute as we knew what to expect. Shame we didn't get that production for Jlingz.

So much hope for next year though in general if we can get over the line.
