Clearly mistakes were made but I would sooner gamble on a youngster like Aguilera or Ojeda than have another Arter situation with some washed up former PL player after a last payday.

What has been pleasing this year is that the more senior player we have brought in have been very good and also seem to be on sensible contracts (maybe jury still out on Lingard! ).

Lingard only a one year deal so regardless it's not another Arter type situation. 

I think every club in the bottom half of the league would've taken that contract we got for Jesse too.
