So as far as I see it.
In the blue corner we have Kirchner sponsored by Alan Nixon. The funds are there and being checked for money laundering (nothing remotely smelly about that of course, definitely not) and all is well, Ck is still preferred bidder.
This is the best short term solution for the sheep because they Keep Rooney who gets a place on the board and have a chance of getting a team together. However long term they will be owned by someone who has as much of a clue about running a football club as your nan and when they are still in L1 in 2 years time he will get bored and drive off on his golf buggy to a new adventure.
In the red corner we have Ashley sponsored by the BBC and Sky who say Kirchner is skint, exclusivity has ended and Ashley gets to come in with a low ball offer.
In the short term this is a disaster, creditors dont get paid so they start with -15 points, Rooney walks and they have no team for this season.
However long term you have someone wealthy and competent at the helm to run a stable football club all be it someone who has form for cutting as many corners as possible.
Which do you choose?
