Our low base also has to be taken into account. It took wolves 2 seasons of very large investment- we are out performing them from their first season of mega signings. I haven’t even included Stoke and Villa who with their squads should be shoe ins for top 6.
If we are challenging for play offs this year then we should all be happy. Trouble is we get greedy and see that with that extra bit of luck...quality...tactical nousee then we’d already have 6-9 extra points from winning positions we have had and sitting pretty at the top of the table. We are in the middle of a really tough run of fixtures too.
Tuesday was a real let down though. A big chance to keep the squad happy with extra games and also have a chance To keep the feel good factor. A real let down.
It will be all forgiven if we win our next 2, though I can see 2 defeats or 2 draws at best.
