It's quite easy to get a feel on appointments. Just look at what fans of their former clubs have to say.

I'm less fussed about Cooper. New School. It seems like more of what Forest fans say that don't like.
If I had to pick? Wilder. A bit of a 'wilder' adventure footballing wise. Old School. Man's game football.

I agree SA. Wilder would 100% be my appointment of choice too, and I'm not convinced that this is the right time to choose "new" over "tried and tested".
However, what I will say though is that on rare occasions the reality doesn't reflect the opposition fan POV. Billy Davies came to us with a rep for poor footy, and some of our fans will still slag off his away football. In reality he gave us our best football since Hart, and played some cracking stuff at times, with most home games being enjoyable.
Imagine a team signing Carvalho from us for 1m. If they get on the net and read some of the fans opinions he's the best thing since sliced bread, a fantastic creative magician, and just been incredibly unlucky under 4 managers and in 2 leagues, and hasn't been given a chance. In reality he's a complete flop and who needs a LOT of factors - both in his & the opposition team - to fall his way to be effective.

So hopefully Coopers rep is a little skewed. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.
I have also heard from those a bit more clued up than the average Boyo that Cooper has a more palatable side to his football, and if you look at the ins & outs at Swansea that's encouraging too.
So whilst I think we do right to remain weary, I also wouldn't be too down if he gets the job. There are things suggesting he many surprise us.
Plus his face is pure entertainment in itself.
