A club that seemingly never listens or learns for that matter. Embarrassing really.
So its embarrassing that the Club do not listen and learn from you?
Its no more embarrassing than having to read that hubristic gibberish.
I'm not implying me at all. But Mao, Sniff asked for my thoughts what we should do and I posted them not so long ago end of Sabri/pre hughton.
In terms on never listening or learning, that just goes for the 4 years they have been here, where they have received advice and offer of help but have never taken it as they know best. Seemingly they dont and seemingly will not learn.
Well I am not sure that is the case.
There was an acknowledgement that EM and Vrentzos had got things wrong over their first four years, hence the big review and the appointment of Murphy.
At the time, everyone bought in and thought it was a good idea; that coincidentally, was at the same time that Hughton was in his job.
So what has changed?
Hughton has been fired, very much as everyone expected, and Murphy gets to chose his own man.
Surely that should be a good thing, but its not.
Why is it not?
Because Murphy is now being deemed as not capable of selecting the right person, on the basis of no evidence whatsoever?
He either choses who the supporters want or he does not know what he is doing or he is just replicating the same mistakes.
I just do not buy into that.
I may not be Murphy's biggest fan, but he is the CEO and he is the one responsible for getting the right manager in; he should be allowed to get on with it.
This new philosophy we are supposedly building will never take place if we adopt an a la carte approach when it comes to following principles and processes, particularly when times are tough.
If Cooper is deemed to be the man, I can fully understand why; he plays pragmatic football as opposed to the expansive style we all want; he grinds out wins at a rate of 45%, which is not too bad.
We need someone who will play to our strengths, the very few that we have.
Expecting expansive football or all out attack with the players we have is bordering on the delusional; we just do not have the forwards to play that way.
I can fully understand people moaning about dour football; I am not entirely happy with it myself; but I will put up with it if it means staying up.
