Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager

Randall made these comments only a month ago:

We have an outstanding manager and backroom staff who know what it takes to succeed at this level.

Not only is Chris’s record exceptional but he has an unparalleled reputation in football and we were the envy of a number of Premier League clubs in securing his services.

He did, Username.

But was Forest's backing of Hughton in the last year exceptional?  Barely (or not even) a year in the job.

No striker.  A year without permanent players.  No fullbacks to start the season.  No striker.  (Unless we count ageing legs.)

Cost cutting team positions vacant as we begin and ship 4 games and 12 points without them.  And, (predictably) with lightweight recruitment (6.5 says COYRs transfer forum) going up against Mad Mick, The Anti Christ and soon 'Don't Expect Any Favours' Rowett.

The timing was a poisoned chalice.  14 players that Sabri couldn't do anything with.  Players that were thrown out a year later.

I'll thank Hughton for the relegation save.

But the transfer window this year was shocking.  No chance of me whacking myself blind this year.

And did I say no striker?  Forest always had a striker (I don't recall them being 'that old.)  Collymore.  Hoidong.  Johnno.  Marlon.  Grabban got 20 but that was now years ago.  He's old.

What's happened to us?
