Ha I was just going off some randomly quoted figures from before, you're right though if he has less than a year it wouldn't be as much. Although don't forget it would likely be his backroom staff too.
Also, it would be a lump sum payment, that's how it works when you terminate someone's contract you pay them what they're owed. Him getting another job has no impact on any compensation package. (also I doubt he'll walk into another job anyway!)
Arguably wouldn't make much difference FFP wise thinking about it as we will have to pay his wages for this year whether he's here or not. The only cost in FFP terms would be however much we spent on a new manager.
