So the rumour from the ground. Hughton won’t walk and his contract is worth £2.5M plus back room team makes it over £3M. To bring in a new guy plus their staff total cost is probably £5M which we can’t afford.

Paying managers off doesn't count towards FFP and the like does it?

I’m 99% sure it does count towards P&S unfortunately.

To clarify this point about the costs of replacing manager and whether it counts towards P&S.
P&S is based on adjusted earnings before tax

So yes paying off managers, backroom teams and appointing a new one does count.
