Strikers cost a lot of money though, dont they. Taylor was interesting a lot of clubs at our level and came in on a free. £30k a week seems high but not extortionate given that he's basically pocketed the transfer fee for himself by allowing his contract to run down at Charlton.
Yes, in the context of him not doing the business on the pitch it's a lot, but at the time I think he was a decent signing and if he improves this season, which I'm hoping he might, then it might not look so bad.
