Yes it would have been nice to have had an even better one than what we already have but to suggest that we don't have any strikers is wrong. We do have some.

I said in the above post, there is the chance that the general upgrade in the attacking line (strikers exempted) may bring out the best in Grabban and Lyle. (With upgraded service this is the last chance saloon for both Lyle and Grabban. They're old. There were plenty of outcries about Murphy's age when Warburton signed him. We've since gone on to have strikers in the 31, 34 and 36 age range...). It's ironic that we mention Grabban as a striker as he was the last one Forest spent serious money on. He perhaps highlights the flaw in the recruitment strategy over the last 4 years. 3 and counting for another striker to come in of that kind of quality.
CH hasn't been able to get them firing so far. But he and they haven't had the players or mix to provide the service perhaps. We'll soon find out! :)
We do have strikers. Old ones. Past their prime. And struggling to cope 'mixing' it with the Championship muck and nettles games. Taylor spends alot of his time on his az with his hands in the air and Lewis isn't as sharp as he was. He's getting old. We all are. It is fair to suggest we don't have strikers in line with our 'Plan B.' Yet.
As for Silva. Dropping division may afford his position some luxury as a converted striker? If he can play there and make a go of it then nobody will care. We'll see if he can be a converted winger to striker like T' Henry? Or Brennan Perhaps? Or a mix of Silva and Brennan up front? Silva may provide the chaos that allows Lyle or Grabban to score.
We'll know more when Forest play next.
