It may be all about results for some people but others want to see more. The most alarming thing for me is that players have regressed under him, they've forgotten how to play with pace and penetration; it's all walking pace, sideways passes or a massive hoof to absolutely nobody. We're playing pedestrian football in a league than now demands frenetic energy from start to finish, we're being left behind at an alarming rate and with each week/game that passes it becomes harder to claw it back, not just the points but getting the football right to ensure we can compete with the teams who know how to do it properly in this division. That's why I don't think adding 4/5 more players will change as much as some seem to believe it will, it might delay the inevitable but it'll come at some point this season, just hope it isn't too late when it does.

Who has regressed?

The football is not great but this is pretty much the football we've played since AK left.

AK was the last manager who signed a forward of any note; do you think there may be a connection between not having a centre forward and not being able to play attacking football?

Agree on your last point.

Negative manager?  I sure the Brighton and Newcastle fans were quite happy with him when his teams scored sack fulls of goals on the way to promotion.  Suggests that any style of football is down to the choice selecting good players.  And Forest are still short of the players that will allow Hughton to put teams to the sword and play 'that way.'

So.

How about we SEE where it gets us?

It might take a bit of patience.  I'm happy to go through the pain barrier.

I didn't find Brennan's goal boring at all.  I thought the lads did well 2nd half.  It was slightly agricultural at times.  It's a local derby.

With a bit more quality, Forest go on to win that.  I'm looking forward to the transfer deadline...and a couple (or 3!) quality signings.
