It’s Hughton’s fault we’re in the position we’re in no one else. He trains the players day in day out. He picks the team. He makes the substitution decisions. He decides on the(ultra defensive) tactics. His P45 can’t come soon enough!!
Im not a Hughton sympathiser, im a Forest supporter and i dont believe swapping the manager will benefit the club in any way at all at this moment in time. This time last year it was clear the Sabri had run off the rails. We're not at all at that point yet. I said yesterday i can see progress being made from the end of last season already. If we change yet again, the relative position of the side in the league won't change, we'll just have another twelve months of churn and bomb squads and disharmony. Oh, and the owner will be another 20m quid down the path of disontentment that mad mel has reached the end off. We need stability and growth even if that means there's two DCM's on the pitch for 5 minutes longer than you want there to be.
Very early days. Like yourself, I can see the progressive going forwards over the 3 games. Much more positive in general. Loved the game v Bradford. Proud it was our Academy.
It's ironic. Last season? We shored up the defensive aspect but it took a while to get the attacking side going.
We've played two games with a 'half a pre-season side' and a side well short of the recruits it needs to be 'top 6' or even competitive. Despite that, if I were to be positive (go on, SA, give is ago...) we've been caught out with sloppy goals. A couple of scruffy ones last week. A couple of sloppy goals yesterday.
This year, we've got the attacking side up and running but the defence is compromised by weak recruitment at fullbacks. One is developing. The other brought in not fit. Both burned and skinned in the lead up to both goals.
SA.
