Nottingham Forest - Preston

[nothing special]

Positives:

- This season is over.
- First half played quality incisive football, a joy to watch the build up.
- A great goal.
- Young Soh had a run out.

Negatives:

- Failed to put game to bed
- Strange officiating.
- Taylor's "goal" should gave stood.
- Their 1st goal was clear handball
- The 2nd goal was flagged offside in build up.
- Soh needs a loan spell, definitely not ready yet.
- 4 on 1 and we didn't score.
- Krovinivic-despite technically getting an assist- is such a good player, but with a serious lack of end product. Radio Nottingham commentary is not complete with out "Krovinivic...hits one over the bar".
- The whole season could have been rescued  but Cardiff ruined it in the 89th minute.

At least we can now reset  with Chris Hughton and his unbelievable Championship record over full seasons.

The1st half football is hopefully a taste of what's to come - with a touch more end product  -under CH as it was impressive.

What happened with the offside flag? Ref just overruled it?

Not really sure, he just looked round ignored the flag and carried on. MBye Soh should have done more from the cross, but plenty of time passed between flag and the goal to defend properly. Added to handball and Taylor's chalked off, they would have drawn huge anger on a normal game.

RN were going ballistic about the offside flag before their second goal, why was the ref ignoring it, what would happen if - oops yes, if they scored after the lino eventually put his flag down?

And the first goal is blatantly knocked in by a deliberate elbow, so no goal and a yellow card. Two decisions that went against us when we were cruising (but hadn't got enough goals to reflect our dominance).
