Judging any manager on this shambles of a squad which Modesto & co lumbered us with isn't really fair. Looking at Hughton's signings
Garner - been fantastic, would love to see him back
Krovi - been good, lacked goals but still done more than enough that I'd welcome him back
Knockers - been hit & miss, but has done enough to say his loan has helped keep us well clear of relegation
Murray - served a very valuable purpose, and scored some key goals in some key games to help keep us away from that relegation battle
Good to say they were all signed on loan for £0 transfer fee and most in a tricky Jan window, I'm happy to see how Hughton can shape the squad before judging him. When you compare that to the toss loans such as Mir, Diakhaby etc. it's absolute night and day. Give Hughton the 20m which Modesto & Mendez spent on Carvalho, Soudani, Da Costa & Jenks and we'd have a FAR better squad here.
This season reminds me of Davies' the season he kept us up. Given a bit of time & backing and we had our best set of back to back seasons in 20 years. Hopefully Hoots can do the same.
