The average age of those 8 players mentioned in the above paragraph is 30. You bring in young players who dont work out well thats how it goes bit at least you have tried to look to the future, Ionannou a good example.
To bring in so many older players you should know how they will perform, the experience should be your justification of higher wages and the fact they can not themselves return a profit. For them all to fail is rank poor planning , shows a total lack of recruitment skills and proves there was no vision as how those players would fit info the side. The philosophy was, they played for a decent side they were available so we bought them. Total bxxxxxxs.

I would say as a slight caveat, you are assuming higher wages based on the same logic as above. I would've thought Fred and Colback at least would be on low wages. Taylor & Arter are earing a lot I imagine though. I do agree it did come across very kamikaze too, hopefully will have more time to plan it out this time.

Also, you mentioned Ioannou but there's no evidence we're going to get a make anything on him. Easier to shift probably but likely at a loss and will still have a decent wage. We still have to pay his contract even if we shift him so whether someone is stuck in your squad or sold or released it still amounts to the same thing. Not particularly well known fact that when you sell a player you still need to settle his contract unless he specifically requested a transfer (or had some kind of break clause perhaps)
