Another complete borefest between two absolutely dire sides.
This season can’t finish quick enough.
We were slightly the better team, our final ball and finishing was shocking again.....
Crap game, but worryingly seen worse recently.
Neither team deserved to win, that's for sure
Both those teams will be struggling against relegation next season unless they do something drastic.
In the Premier League there is an accepted doctrine that suggests the so called "Big Six" will usually fill the top league places, and in the long term it might either take something special, or a great deal of financial investment, for other teams to gatecrash the party. Certainly Clubs that want to compete in the top of the league usually have to spend loads of money for the privilige.
I now wonder if a similar disparity doesn't exist in the Championship, with the relegated 3 Premier League teams plus a handful of the usual suspects like QPR and Reading, fighting for the promotion and play off places. At the moment Stoke are 19 points off the last play off place and will struggle to finish in the top 10. I feel that there are now two leagues within a league in the Championship, as well as the Premier League, and unless we can conquer the burden of FFP and start investing effectively in the playing squad, we are looking at the next ten years or so in the second tier.
